Aron Johnston

Aron Johnston graduated from the University of North Texas in 2000 with a BFA in painting. Benito Huerta of the Circa Gallery at UTA included one of Johnston's painting in the annual new-artists show at 500 Exposition Gallery in Dallas.

He has spent the last year living and painting in Kuwait but plans to return to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. On sturdy canvas that he builds himself, Johnston combines traditional oil painting with mixed-media techniques. He often begins with objective subject matter which he layers with over-painting and collage until the painting reveals its own world.
