Master watercolorist Judi Betts lives in Baton Rouge and teaches all over the world. She is famous for her fluid draftsmanship and the way she layers transparent washes to reproduce the effect of sparkling sunlight in her paintings.

In her previous workshops at the Gallery, Judi has focused on watercolor journaling, but in her 2009 visit she will focus on helping her students create full-scale paintings on watercolor paper.
