Larry Harris
Larry Harris worked as a technical illustrator for Cessna Aircraft Co. in Wichita before moving to Arlington, TX as a graphic artist for LTV Aerospace Corp. in 1967. It was shortly after this that Larry and The Upstairs Gallery discovered each other. Eleanor G. Martin and her husband James W. Martin, Arlington Superintendant of Schools at that time, very quickly realized the talent of this young man. Larry was known for his dry brush watercolor techniques and his ability to achieve realism and
not loose the warmth and emotion of his subjects.
Larry later moved back to Kansas and worked as a staff artist for an advertising agency in Salina, Kansas - while persuing his painting career.
